 SnS Rattery (SNS) is a home based hobby breeder of fancy rats located in Milpitas, California. Our rattery was established in April of 2008 and has been dedicated to improving the fancy rat as a whole. We strive to provide residents of the greater bay area with exceptionally bred rats for both show purposes and adored companions. Our breeding program is aimed to produce rats with improved health, temperament, type, variety, and longevity with every generation. We take great pride in the quality of our personal rats and the babies we produce; aspiring to share them with the community. In addition to breeding, we commit ourselves to promoting rats as the intelligent and affectionate animals they truly are and provide rescue for rats in need. 11-10-11 - Sadly Colby did not conceive and therefore we are forced to drop our BES/Dwarf line. Her (Colby) and her mother (Maccheroni) are available to be adopted together. In addition, our last male (Big) from the line is also available for adoption to a home with existing male(s). Other sad news is the passing of our cherished buck, Sam, which was very unexpected. Not only did we lose a companion, but the base of our Russian Blue line. We have one last chance to recover the line's surperb genetics through a son of Sam's, Timberland. Although, he carries dilutes that we have been breeding out of the line to achieve our desired variety, he will be bred to Noel in an attempt to perserve the excellent health and temperament we worked very hard for through selective breeding. In the case that Noel does not conceive a litter with Timberland, we will start our search to retain the line's integrity with related offspring that have been bred by other ratteries. However, we are keeping our fingers crossed as our line has been compromised through the crossbreeding of different lines we are not familiar with as we are with our own. Plans for the litter as of now, are to keep back 2-3 females and 1-2 males, depending on the results of the litter. This line is known to consistently produce 7-8 per litter, so please email us to be placed on the waiting list for remaining adoptable babies.
